Step 4
Energize and Alkalize with greens and whole foods!
Preparing energizing meals and snacks is not as difficult as you might think. No calorie counting. No counting carb grams, fat grams, points, or blocks. Just remember: "a fist," "a thumb," and "a fist."
Mother always told us to eat our greens. These are the words of a wise woman! Green foods are ESSENTIAL for so many reasons; high energy, lean, and vibrant body and clear complexion!
Benefits of Green Superfoods and Whole Food Nutrition
Green foods include dark green vegetables such as spinach, kale, chard, lettuces, green beans, snap peas, snow peas, broccoli; green herbs such as parsley; sea vegetables such as spirulina, seaweed, blue green algae; sprouted grains and seeds, such as alfalfa and sunflower sprouts; cereal grasses such as wheatgrass and barley grass.
By now you may be scared and thinking how on earth can I get these foods in my diet? Green foods are high maintenance right? Wrong! We make it easy for you. With EnergyFirst Greenergy, you get all your green superfoods in one convenient powder!
EnergyFirst Greenergy is a powdered blend of the most potent and beneficial live, green "superfoods" including wheat grass, barley grass, spirulina, spinach, green tea leaf extract, chlorella, blue green algae, Echinacea extract, broccoli, digestive enzymes, and a probiotic blend (to help improve digestion and assimilation of food nutrients). In 1 scoop, you have the nutritional equivalent of 5 servings of green superfoods! And it is easy to use. Mix 1 tablespoon of Greenergy powder in 8oz of cold water. If you want more sweetness, use 4oz unrefined apple juice and 4oz pure water. Drink this every morning to start your day off with loads of energy! Because Greenergy energizes and alkalizes your body so effectively, I like to add 3 scoops of Greenergy to cold pure water in a 2-liter water bottle and drink that all day long. When Greenergy is mixed in cold water, the taste is innocuous and refreshing. You won't believe how energized you feel! And, without caffeine!
Other ways you can get greens into your diet:
Drink Green juices:
If you own a juicer or live or work near a juice store, drink a fresh-juiced green vegetable juice every day (e.g. celery, cucumber, spinach, kale, parsley, and some lemon and ginger). This is the perfect mid-day pick me up.
Eat raw vegetable and sprout salads at every meal! You can find high quality fresh vegetables, sprouts, and herbs in the produce section of any good grocery store. Buy organic where you can!
Snack on raw vegetables sticks. Try celery with almond butter for a great snack. You can buy pre-washed beans, snow peas, snap peas in a bag so there is no preparation time! Just rip the bag open and snack on them all day long!
