EnergyFirst Edge - Keep a Healthy Heart!

Dear ,

Happy February! February is heart health month and we'd like to focus on how to keep you and your family heart healthy with EnergyFirst!

Over 900,000 people die from cardiovascular-related conditions every year. That number is way too high and we all need to work to bring it down. Though genetics and family history do play a role, most of the risk factors for heart disease are completely within your control.

The first thing you can do is an EnergyFirst Shake for breakfast every morning. Next, is to ensure that you're getting a proper amount of Omega 3 in your diet. We have a host of Omega 3 products that allow you to get plenty of EPA/DHA through either organic plants or fish and they have the highest possibly purity and potency. Learn more in "The Omega 3 Link to Heart Health."

Another aid in your fight against heart disease comes from antioxidants, phytonutrients from plants, and the polyphenols in green tea. Our Greenergy is loaded with all of those key ingredients plus digestive enzymes and probiotics for intestinal health. Lean more about the benefits of green tea in this month's article "Green Tea and Cardiovascular Health."

Exercise is tremendous for the heart. It boosts the oxygen content of the blood, lowers blood pressure, and helps to prevent cardiovascular disease. To learn more about the cardiovascular benefits of exercise, read "Exercise Your Way to a Healthy Heart." If you don't have time to make a shake after your workout, you can always get 23g of protein and less than 1g of sugar with one of our Protein Bars.

Let's keep that heart healthy in February, and make sure you're doing your part! The cumulative effects of our nutrition and healthy lifestyle decisions compound over time. Every little bit counts!

Yours in great health,

Gerry Morton, MS Nutrition
