Spring of Wellness!
“April hath put a spirit of youth in everything.” — William Shakespeare
Dear ,
Happy Earth Month! April is when many of us feel the first kiss of spring–which is especially appreciated in colder regions. If you haven’t started a garden yet, why not get some seedlings into pots on your patio? You’ll love harvesting your own organic salad greens as needed.
On the health front, April is Cancer Control Month–reminding us that we actually do have some control over this dreaded disease. Would you believe that the most nourishing breakfast you can eat also protects against breast cancer? Be sure you’re taking advantage of this natural health ally.
April is also National Parkinson’s Awareness Month, shining a spotlight on a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects 1 million people in the United States. Although the causes of Parkinson’s remain unknown, there are some viable prevention tactics, which you’ll discover here.
This month also calls attention to a problem faced by many people–emotional overeating. Emotional Eating Awareness Month offers a valuable chance to learn how to break free from this self defeating pattern, which we explore in this short read.
Dig in and learn. Becoming better informed about our health is truly empowering. We appreciate your interest–and you!
All the best, Gerry Morton |
