How to make one
Four things in a blender.
- Liquid. One and a half cups of water or plain almond milk.
- Protein. Two scoops of ProEnergy, vanilla or chocolate.
- A good fat. A tablespoon of oil or seeds: flax, chia or a seed blend.
- Unprocessed carbohydrate. Half a cup to a cup of fresh or frozen unsweetened fruit.
Water or almond milk?
Water counts toward what you drink in a day and adds no carbohydrate, so it is the simpler option. Plain unsweetened almond milk makes a thicker shake if you would rather have one.
Add ice and blend to whatever texture you like. Drink the whole thing as a meal, or halve the recipe for a snack.
