“Nothing can be done without hope and confidence” - Helen Keller

Dear ,

If October is one of your favorite months, you’re in good company. Many of us love those brightly colored leaves falling gracefully from our trees, crisp farm–fresh apples, and Halloween, among other highlights. October is a great month to concentrate on fitness and healthy eating, too–maximizing those remaining sunny days and building up your wellness reserves for winter.

It’s also a great month for national health observances. We highlight two very important ones here. For starters, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which has been observed for over 25 years. Although there is still more general focus on a future “cure” than on current prevention, you should know that you can reduce your risk naturally. Learn here about one proven tactic you can start immediately.

October is also Emotional Wellness Month, addressing a vital aspect of health we may not always consider. Emotional wellness refers to both general happiness and mental resilience. How can you boost your levels of both? Learn how here.

We hope you find this carefully assembled information valuable. As always, our goal is to both inform–and inspire–as you aim to be the healthiest, most joyful individual you can. Why not strive?

Best in wellness to you, this month–and always!
Kiki Powers, MS, CNC
